Same costs · different quantities
See where a bigger order helps.

Each row spreads the same setup, shipping, and overhead across that quantity. Materials and pressing labor scale with production attempts. A higher quantity does not automatically earn a discount.
A quick start
Know what goes into your number.
1. Enter what you really pay.
Replace the fictional sample costs. Transfer cost is the material used for one attempt; this version does not arrange gang sheets or estimate artwork area. Include all placements in that cost.
2. Pay yourself for the time.
Pressing minutes apply to every production attempt. Design and setup minutes apply once to the order. Other setup cost is for charges that are not already in your time or material fields.
3. Use margin, not markup.
A 50% margin on $50 of costs requires $100 of pretax sales before payment fees. A 50% markup produces $75 of sales, which is a 33.3% margin. HemMargin works backward from the margin you ask for.
4. Account for rejects and fees.
A 5% reject rate means 95% of production attempts succeed. To deliver 24 good pieces, the tool budgets 26 attempts, rounding up to whole garments. A payment fee is charged on the customer total, including sales tax. The price rounds up to whole cents per item.
5. Check the completed job.
Actual profit uses pretax revenue less your actual total costs and processing fees. Replace estimates with real figures after completion. This is a job-pricing tool, not bookkeeping or tax advice.
How is the target price calculated?
Pretax price = (entered production costs + fixed payment fee) ÷ (1 − target margin − percentage payment fee × (1 + sales tax rate)). The unit price rounds up; final fee and tax rounding are checked again.
Where does my data go?
Calculations run in this page. The tool makes no network requests and has no analytics or external fonts. The full version stores only the quotes you choose to save in this browser. Backups are files you export. Hosting providers still handle ordinary web requests when you visit the online demo.
Does this guarantee the quoted job will be profitable?
No. It accounts for the inputs you enter. Missing costs, production changes, a discount, returns, or tax obligations outside this calculation can change the result. Verify your own costs and applicable tax rate before sending a quote.
